The Day I Stole The Sun

You never stay the night, but you’re always here in the morning.

Tickling my face; waking me up.

I open my eyes to find you staring at me, sigh

You’re here, I have to wake now.

You try to follow me around, I try to shut you out

Showing up at breakfast, watching me put on my shoes,

I throw on a cardigan and walk out the door,

There you are again, acting like the day is all yours.

You annoy me a little, I try not to look at you.

You follow me to my favorite spot on the grass.

All the while tugging at my sweater, kissing my face,

Tickling my neck and my back.

I lay on the grass propped up against a tree to read,

I am hiding from you, and I can feel you trying to get to me.

It’s midday, you’ve managed to sneak up from behind me, the tree is useless now.

You start bothering me again, making me uncomfortable,

I take my sweater off.

My arms bare, you can’t resist, you kiss my hands, my elbows, my shoulders,

I still can’t look at you, but I can’t stop you either.

A cold breeze sneaks up between us, a cloud separating you from me for a moment,

And In that moment I knew, I wanted to feel you again.

There have been days that I have hated you, wished you went away,

Ran from you, hid behind trees, and inside buildings.

Then there were days that you hid, and I couldn’t feel you,

Those days have been so many recently that I almost miss you.

The breeze blows over, I can feel you again.

This time, I don’t fight you,

I embrace every kiss, every caress.

You soak my back in your warmth.

It’s been winter too long and I have missed you,

But today; today is the day I steal the Sun.

Sugar, spice and everything nice,

Just too mundane and a lot of lies.

You are Stardust, magic and infinite.

You are not just human,

You are the culmination of beauty, madness, creativity, complexity.

You are everything contained in a fleshy body,

You are more than the decaying skin and bones.

You are the juxtaposition of creation and the infinite.

You are boundless.

You are how you perceive,

You cannot be perceived.

You are anything you want to be,

You are endless possibilities.

You don’t understand yourself,

You experience yourself and your limitlessness.

You are the secret,

You are the treasure.

You are nothing,

You are everything.

Your mind is fathomless,

Your mind is the macrocosm.

Your source is inexhaustible,

Your source is the universe.

So, tap into it.

Sometimes, they are like snowflakes;
Precious and beautiful.
You share them with someone special.

Sometimes, they are like a fantasy drizzle in a desert.
There is a feeling and you have none to describe it with.
And you just make incomprehensible sounds with your mouth.

Sometimes, they are like the torrential rain;
There are just too many to make any sense of.
And you search, as if for a needle in a haystack, for something meaningful.

Sometimes, they are like a frosty blizzard;
Each one piercing through your soul.
And you utter them regardless and receive them like a punch in your gut.

Sometimes, they are like the sunshine on your back on a winter day;
Warm and comforting.
And you never want it to end.

Most times, words are all I have.

Crests and Troughs

Flux is the only thing constant;

When you let the external affect the internal.

Seal your heart and free your soul;

Be one with the universe, be whole.

Note: I may have this wrong, but there is no absolute right either.

Energy is Neither Created Nor Destroyed

Blue, black, dotted with stars;

That, that is, is neither mine nor yours.

Some arranged and aligned so we would meet,

Knowing one day we would find what we seek.

We know where it began but not how it will end,

But know that is was joy; time well spent.

Cloaked and hidden does the sly test deceive,

Slipping doubt and concern into what we believe.

Run if you must, but not too fast,

I will keep up just enough to outrun the past.

There won’t be an end even if we should part,

The universe is forever and I’ve a bit of faith in the stars.

The Faith In Our Stars

Believe in me, for I am real;

Believe in the stars, for they are too.

Believe that they have a plan;

For me and You.

Discreet Course

I wandered a little, I got lost a lot.
Many doors closed, more open windows I sought.
I stood up for what is right, I fell down a lot.
And the more I fell, the more resilient I got.
